Viscoelastic properties both traditional and gradient
polyurethane-polyacrylate IPNs were studied. Both types of IPNs were shown to
be two-phase systems inclusive considerable interphase area. It was found that
GIPNs were characterized by anisotropy of viscoelastic properties specified by
different structure depending on the direction of concentration gradient of
acrylate component and which possessed a broad glass transition interval that
defined an ability of material to dissipate the mechanical energy. By using the
model imitation method the system of questions describing the GIPN formation
kinetic – gradient profile generation was proposed. Property-composition
correlation dependences were found that allow one to realize the transfer from
concentration gradient profiles to those of distribution of properties, in
particular elastic modulus, within GIPN layers.

Effect of carbon
nanotubes (CNT) on the enthalpy relaxation of polystyrene (PC) was avaluated
from calorimetric studies. The apparent activation energy and characteristic
relaxation times of the nanocomposites (NC) were lower than that of the neat
PC. It is postulated that the decrease of this parameteres had resulted from
the increase in the mobilities of the PC molecules and free volumes in the NC,
which were supported by the decreased glass transition temperatures of the
nanocomposites compared to the neat PC.

Thermodegradation
processes in organo-inorganic urethane(urea)silsesquioxane hybrids with
functional fragments in the organic chain have been studied. The influence of
the organic chain structure on the polymer pyrolysis has been investigated. The
increase of inorganic fragments’ number results in the heightening of the
temperature of pyrolysis maxima rates of the organic fragments of developed
polymers.

The creep of road and construction bitumens with the purpose of study of
influence of fiberfiller on viscosity of filled bitumen was explored . The
speed of plastic deformation under the
influence of steady transverse strain was measured. It was shown, that initial
viscosity factor exponential depend on bulk concentration of fiberfiller in the
range of bulk concentration 1,5–17,0 % (volumetric) of filler.

Viscoelastic properties of the filled polymeric composites taking into
account influence on them of an interphase layer (polymer which has changed the
properties as a result of interaction with a surface of filler particles) are
defined. Effective viscoelastic properties of the filled polymeric materials
were defined by means of an iterative method of the averaging based on the idea
of renormal group transformation. Comparison of calculation with experimental
data which shows on their good enough the coordination is spent. The analysis
of influence of an interphase layer and the size of filler particles on
viscoelastic properties of the filled polymeric composites is carried out.
Quantitative estimations of properties of an interphase layer which have shown
on their essential difference from properties of polymer are received.

The chemical structure, thermal stability, measurements of dielectric permeability, kinetics of water uptake were investigated. It was shown that using sol-gel technology allow to receive thermostable porous materials based on polyimide with dielectric permeability e’=2,93–2,98.

The thermic, dynamic mechanical and physico-mechanical properties of semi-interpenetrating polymer networks (semi-IPNs) based on polyurethane and poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate), synthesized by methods of photopolymerization and thermopolymerization, were investigated. It was shown that the degree of phase separation is more developed in the semi-IPNs synthesized by method of thermopolymerization. The photopolymerized semi-IPNs have demonstrated higher parameters of physico-mechanical properties.

Organic-inorganic composites (OIC) based on urethane oligomers and alkaline silicates with different types of cation were synthesized and their sorption properties were investigated. It was revealed that sorption characteristics of the OIC under investigation depend greatly on the molecular weight of silicon-oxygen anions as well as on the cations type, due to the difference in their dimensions and, consequently, their hydration degrees.
