Publications of the last years devoted to the influence of irradiation on the structure and properties of polyolefins and their blends with the other polymers are reviewed. The changes in crosslinking density, mechanical, thermal, and other characteristics under the irradiation influence are discussed. The papers on irradiation grafting of monomers and their blends on surface of polyolefins are analyzed.

Sorption properties of chitosan towards the following ions: Cu2+, Co2+, Cd2+, Pb2+ and Hg2+ in the neutral medium are studied. Stability constants of the complexes obtained and sorption capacity of chitosan are determined. It is shown that chitosan has the highest sorption capacity to  Cu2+ and Hg2+ ions. The complexes formed are characterized by IR- and electronic spectroscopy, Wide angle X-ray diffraction (WAXS), differential thermal analysis (DTA).

The results of kinetic studies of the isoprene oligomerization under the action of hydrogene peroxide in the presence of chloro-containing solvents are present. It has been founded that the oligomerization process is accelerated at using chloro-containing alcohols capable to forming complexes with hydrogene peroxide.

Branching polyetherglycolurethanes (PEGU) are synthesized; their constitution and sorption properties are investigated. The relation of physical-chemical and physical-mechanical properties PEGU from the contents free of isocyanate groups of macrodiisocyanate is estimated. Is is established, that PEGU synthesized on the basis POPG, TDI, DB at excess of free isocyanate groups of macrodiisocyanate 7,5 % is a material with optimum physical-mechanical parameters, is characterized by slowly biodegradation and can be used, as a perspective material for further application as implantable material.

A range of 4,10-dihydrothieno[3’,2’:5,6]pyrimido[2,1-a]isoindol-4-one and 2-(4-oxo-3,4-dihydrothieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-2-il)benzoic acid’ derivatives was synthesized and their structure was confirmed by NMR-spectroscopy. Possibility of molecular complexes fixation of hetero-cyclic substances   4,10-dihydrothieno[3’,2’:5,6]pyrimido[2,1-a]isoindol-4-ons, which are potentially biology active ingredients, with b-cyclodextrin was investigated. These substances in the presence of b-cyclodextrin are shown to be effectively solubilized into the water phase.

Copper ethyl acetoacetate modified linear polyurethanes (PU) were synthesized. Using IR-spectroscopy, electronic spectroscopy and ESR it is established, that Copper b-diketonate forms coordination bonds with PU a matrix. X-ray methods (WAXS, SAXS) show amorphous and microheterogenenus structure of modified PUs.

Metal-filled epoxy-based composite materials durability in acid and alkaline medium have been investigated. Swelling kinetics, filler corrosion and polymer matrix chemical bounds lattice destruction have been studied. Heat capacity measurements and molecular motion investigation after exposition in corrosive media have been performed. Antiplasticization effect of corrosive media on polymer matrix have been detected.

A constitution, structure and properties of polymeric sulphur obtained at decomposing of sodium thiosulphate by a hydrochloric acid are investigated. Is established, that the obtained product is a polymer-homologous mixture, and its structure and the properties depend on conditions of synthesis. The forecast of behavior of the obtained product in a preparation time and vulcanization of rubber compositions is made.

Influencing of structural transformations in a polymer butylañrylate-methylañrylate-metañrylic acid on colloid-chemical properties of dispersions, physical-mechanical and physicochemical properties of films and allocation of modifying additions, at the change of the environment under action of bases of lithium, sodium, potassium, triethanolamine and morpholine was investigated. It was shown that structural transformations influence on intermolecular interaction, on the state of adsorption layer of particles and allocation of modifying additives in film.

Optimum conditions were developed to analyze t-methylimidazoleacetic acid (t-MetImAA), the end metabolite of histamine, using reversed-phase HPLC. Piroxicam immobilized on a polyurethane matrix was found out to reduce significantly the t-MetImAA level in urine of rats with inflammation.
