By using the wide– and small– angle x-ray scattering methods and differential scanning calorimetry the structure formation processes in the binary mixtures based on polyurethane having tertiary nitrogen atoms in their hard blocks, and styrene–acrylic acid (styrene content 57%) copolymer were investigated. It was shown that formation in the mixtures bulk of the interpolymer complexes in the whole concentration range (from 10 to 70 % wt. of polyurethane) determines the extremal concentration dependence of microheterogeneous structure of these systems.

The hybrid organic-inorganic composites are developed based on isocyanates, sodium silicate and sodium silicopolyphosphate at various ratios of the initial components. The SAXS data shows that such materials morphology possesses fractal order of two level type. Where big mass-fractal aggregates are not compact, but consist of smaller dimension mass-fractals of lower structural level. Above structural peculiarities can explain anomalous high elongation at rupture.

Mechanical strength characteristics of the graphite-filled epoxy compounds cured under microwave irradiation have been studied. The strength under pressure has been found to be identical for the microwave-cured compounds and that cured thermally. The advantage of the microwave heating is the fast cure of the epoxy polymer.

The effect of initial monomer functionality on the final properties of densely cross-linked heterocyclic polymer networks (HPN) was evaluated from calorimetric studies. Quantitative analysis of these data suggested that an HPN prepared from the monomer T was chemically more heterogeneous and possessed a lower effective network density (presumably, as a result of a lower mobility of the initial monomer T compared to monomer D).

It is shown, that the main factor, influenced on a molecular mobility level in noncrystalline regions of high density polyethylene, is these regions structure. The definite influence are exercised and molecular characteristics of polymer since between them and structural parameters is close interconnection. Therefore for estimation of molecular mobility degree it is necessary to use the equations taking into consideration the structure of polymer’s amorphous state.

Hyperbranched polyester-polyol of the second generation was synthesized by the reaction of 2-ethyl-2-hydroxymethyl-1,3-propanediol with 2,2-dimethylolpropionic acid. A number of the hyperbranched polyester-polyol derivatives with different types of end functional groups was obtained by the its interaction with dicarboxylic acid anhydrides, cinnamic acid, stearic acid, and phenylisocyanate. The structure - chemical nature of introduced substitutes relationship was established.

Cross-linked b-cyclodextrin based polymers are synthesized using a diisocyanates (2,4 TDI and HMDI) and their sorption characteristics in water and buffer solutions are studied towards p-nitrophenol and a some surfactants. These materials are of an increasing interest as adsorbents for different types of organic molecules and would be applied for water purification from hazardous admixtures.

The copolymers of Polyacrylamide grafted to Dextran (Mw=20000) and Dextran (Mw=70000) have been synthesised by ceric-ion-reduced redox initiation method. Molecular characteristic of graft copolymers were calculated from light scattering, size exclusive chromatography and viscometry data. It was established that increase in molecular weight of Dextran component in 3.5 times don’t influence essentially on molecular state of these copolymers in aqueous solution. It was establish by FTIR spectroscopy and viscometry that D-g-PAA copolymers capable of binding the metal ions in water medium.

It was shown, that OH groups of alumophosphate (AP) contribute significantly to total value of MDI hardening rheoconstant. Alumophosphate modular number does not influence sensibly on hardening process rheokinetic parameters. When the water is absent the AP does not capable to react with MDI. Water is necessary as a reagent of polyurea formation, which is catalyst of polyurethane formation reaction. Adding sodium to alumophosphate leads to significant decreasing of pheokinetic parameters. The OH groups do not take part in polyurethane formation reaction.
